PLEASE READ: Submitting complete,
PERFECTLY ACCURATE CONTACT INFO
is the first step to working with us.
Our email is at the bottom of every page on this site. It is common for people to fill out the form and then text or email pictures, hopefully right at the same time.
When you send a text or email initially, it is mandatory to provide the above information without error or omission.
We need enough information via text/email to connect your phone number together with everything else. SEND INFORMATION WITH YOUR PICTURES! Even if you have provided the same information elsewhere.
Also, please explain your needs, wants, and questions.
PICTURES
We DON’T WANT: links to photos, “live photos”, videos, or zoomed in photos,
or pictures that we can’t connect to a customer contact.
Ideally customers provide a zoomed out picture of each access door,(show the whole house/room) and broad shots, (floor, walls, ceiling) of the workspaces, equipment, and assets like lighting… WIDE ANGLE IS A GOOD THING, however zooming-in for crawlspace or attic pics may make sense..
…a simple flashlight can illuminate far reaches of your home while you snap a pic. A simple flashlight can allow you to see inside/around your crawlspace through the foundation vents. I am able to photograph through some crawlspace vents, if I have the right light.
We do not need your highest-resolution; if your device is asking you Actual, Big, Medium, Small… Medium-Size will likely do the trick. 5 Attic + 5 Crawl pictures does not require External Links or zip files. Thank you for helping us stay organized and productive.

ADAM’s PHONE TIPS:
If you are still here, and an apple user, here are more details for truly maximizing our keyboards.
HOME ADDRESS:
For my home address the House Number alone “1234” triggers the house number and street name to appear(perfectly every time), this is ideal for form filling, but some times I want to insert the whole address, so then typing “rnc” turns into “Raleigh, NC 27612”. (so two replacements for the same address just in case to be separated on various lines is genius) This makes it easy to type any address in my city now, as I can adjust the 12 and make it 01, 02, 03… whatever I need.
OTHER ADDRESSES:
On other properties, typing the house number and first initial “1234f” (without a space, as to make it an unlikely accident, “987n”…) the entire address appears. This way I don’t have to remember/lookup the zip, I can use it as a reminder, and can delete/cut/paste it if I am in a web-form with separate fields.
EMAILS:
“asy” –> [email protected]
“asg” –> for gmail
“aspr” –> for proton mail…
Example Shortcuts, you fill in the blanks: hoainfo, payme, inforequest,
PHONE NUMBERS:
4 numbers of any phone number (mine and those in my favorites) has a text replacement for their number in this format 123.456.7890 (most clickable and savable) generally it would be numbers 4567 in this example, and that often works beautifully until you have 4000 customers. Other times I use “456i” (the middle numbers of their number and their initial with no spaces).
URLs to all your most common web needs
for our website, a compendium of educational materials, each page has a shortcut phrase that blurts out the impossibly long URL,
“ehm” –> “www.EnergyHandyman.com”
“ehmc” –> “https://energyhandyman.com/contact-us/“
etc
TWO WAYS TO SHARE YOUR CONTACT INFO via text
When I type “fullsig” my full email signature appears and I still need to place the cursor and hit enter several times to make it appear properly.
Alternatively, you should share a special contact from your contacts app that you have carefully created just for helping your customers, kids friends, service workers… If you make it overly complete your phone asks you, for example, if you want to share the gate/alarm code or “nicknames”…
Any type of NAME you can shorten or initialize.
When I type 3 initials people’s names appear. Mine, same with my entire family’s initials. This actually helps me remember peoples middle names, as I use their middle initials to reduce accidental appearances.
Contacts can be very useful for storing information you need. Subcontractor pricing, Gate Codes, Alarm Codes, and you can use tricks to keep it neat. Lets say you are renting a house and ~30 people contact you in various ways per week and it takes you 2-3 weeks to get it rented, the house number of the subject house should PRECEED the First Name: 987 Carla… so you can search by the house number! and after you rent it you can put the house number at the end of the last name, and then go and delete all the contact starting in 987, the prospects who never applied… Prospects Preceeded by House # is awesome. We often save the picture of the house as a contact picture, and put all the names of the household somewhere, and the presents of pets…
… and I encourage all us to create and share methods for stuff like this so that typing accuracy and completeness on all your devices approaches 100%. If nothing else, this saves you time, eliminates missed connections, frustrations, even protect those you know by keeping eyes on the road.
While customers search for the best contractor for their biggest investment, it is wise to realize, the best contractors hope only to work for the BEST, most COOPERATIVE customers and to turn them in to clients.
